Desert Four O'Clock (Mirabilis multiflora) is a bold, low-water plant that brings unexpected color to your garden. This native perennial sprawls wide and low, filling space with deep green foliage and bright magenta flowers that open in the late afternoon—right when everything else starts winding down.
It’s incredibly tough, thriving in poor soils and dry conditions, and once it’s established, it needs almost no attention. It spreads generously, making it a great choice for covering sunny slopes or hot, dry corners of your yard. Plus, it’s a favorite with native pollinators like hummingbirds and hawk moths—and not so popular with deer and rabbits, which makes it an excellent choice for landscaping use.
