Longleaf arnica (Arnica longifolia) brings a touch of mountain sunshine to any landscape. Native to high-elevation meadows and forest openings of the Wasatch Front, this resilient perennial spreads by underground rhizomes to form loose patches of golden, daisy-like blooms through the summer. It thrives in well-drained soils and handles rocky, alpine conditions with ease, making it a great choice for naturalized plantings, wildflower borders, or pollinator gardens.
Hardy and unbothered by deer or disease, Longleaf Arnica is a dependable performer where other ornamentals might struggle. Its cheerful yellow flowers attract native bees and butterflies, while its rugged adaptability makes it ideal for water-wise gardens. Though not for eating, its beauty and durability make it a natural fit for mountain or dryland landscapes that celebrate native charm and ecological value.
Grown from seed sourced at Swift Creek, Utah.
