Shaggy Fleabane (Erigeron pumilis) is a tough yet charming little wildflower native to the mountain slopes of the Intermountain West. With its soft lavender blooms and sunny yellow centers, this fleabane adds cheerful color to dry, rocky gardens and alpine landscapes. Its tidy clumps of narrow leaves create a neat, low mat that looks great tucked into rock gardens, along borders, or between stepping stones.
This perennial thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, tolerating heat, drought, and cold alike—making it a perfect fit for high-desert and mountain gardens. Pollinators love its long bloom season, while deer tend to pass it by. Once established, it’s virtually maintenance-free and provides an easy burst of wild beauty wherever it’s planted.
Grown from seed collected at Mt. Harrison, Idaho.
