Yaak Yarrow (Achillea milleflolium var. 'Yaak') is an excellent choice for homeowners looking to replace a traditional lawn with a beautiful, water-wise landscape. Its soft, fern-like foliage forms a durable green carpet punctuated by clusters of bright white flowers that attract bees, butterflies, and other beneficial pollinators throughout the summer while being ignored by deer. The result is a natural-looking groundcover that brings movement, texture, and seasonal interest while requiring far less water and maintenance than a conventional grass lawn.

Once established, Yaak Yarrow thrives with minimal care, spreading gradually to fill in open spaces and creating a resilient, low-growing landscape that tolerates foot traffic better than many flowering perennials. For a lush, faster-filling lawn replacement, plant plugs 12 inches apart. For a more economical installation that will fill in over time, space plants 18 inches apart. One 50-plant tray covers approximately 50–100 square feet, depending on planting density.
