Gray Aster

Gray Aster (Herrickia glauca) is a charming native mountain wildflower that brings a natural, meadow-inspired look to sunny landscapes. Its cheerful daisy-like blooms appear late in the growing season, providing welcome color when many other native flowers are beginning to fade. The soft blue-green foliage gives the plant attractive texture even before it flowers, making it a subtle but valuable addition to water-wise gardens.

This species is especially well suited to naturalistic plantings, rock gardens, slopes, and native habitat restorations where excellent drainage is available. Once established, it asks for very little care and rewards gardeners by attracting bees and butterflies while thriving in Utah's dry climate.
