Horse Mint Agastache

Horse Mint Agastache (Agastache urticifolia), also known as Nettleleaf Giant Hyssop, is a tall, upright native perennial with spikes of pale pink, lavender, or creamy-white flowers held above aromatic green foliage. Its vertical form adds height and movement to perennial gardens, meadow plantings, and naturalistic landscapes without taking up a lot of space at ground level.

Native to Utah and much of the interior West, Horse Mint Agastache thrives in sunny, relatively dry conditions once established. Its long-lasting, nectar-rich flowers are especially valuable to bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, making it an excellent addition to pollinator and habitat gardens. Fragrant foliage, an extended summer bloom period, and good drought tolerance make this a versatile native for water-wise landscapes.
