Rocky Mountain Juniper ‘Skyrocket’ (Juniperus scopulorum ‘Skyrocket’) is a striking columnar selection of our native Rocky Mountain Juniper, prized for its exceptionally narrow, upright form and cool blue foliage that holds its color through winter. Its tall, spire-like habit creates strong vertical structure in the landscape while taking up very little horizontal space.
Adapted to the dry climates of the Intermountain West, ‘Skyrocket’ thrives in full sun and well-drained soils and is highly tolerant of drought, wind, and rocky conditions once established. Its slender silhouette makes it an excellent choice for narrow screens, property boundaries, or vertical accents in xeric and water-wise landscapes.
Low-maintenance and durable, ‘Skyrocket’ provides year-round evergreen color and architectural form with minimal water or care. As a cultivar of a Rocky Mountain native species, it brings the resilience of western landscapes into refined garden settings.
