Tall Evening Primrose

Tall Evening Primrose (Oenothera elata) brings graceful height and movement to the garden with its tall flower spikes and luminous yellow blooms that seem to glow in the evening light. The flowers open toward dusk and remain attractive into the morning, creating a dynamic display while providing an important nectar source for moths, bees, and other beneficial insects. Its natural, airy form makes it an excellent choice for prairie-style plantings, native landscapes, rain gardens, and informal borders.

Despite its elegant appearance, this is a resilient and adaptable perennial that performs well across much of northern Utah.
